1. The right to organize a union, with the right to collectively bargin with the state for our wages, benifits, and working conditions and to act as the collective voice of state employees.
2. The right to a decent standard of living for ourselves and our families with wages competitive with the private sector and annual cost of living increases.
3. The right to be treated with dignity on the job and to redress any unfair treatment through a fair and impartial grievance procedure.
4. The right to job security, without the threat of being replaced as the result of privatization.
5. The right to training to improve our skills to become more proficent at our jobs and to expand our knowledge and abilities and to a fair unbaised promotional system, which takes into account our experience, expertise, and senority on the job.
6. The right to a safe and healthy workplace free of occupational hazards.
7. The right to participate in the decision-making process and the have input into decisions made by our agencies that affect the future of our jobs and our state services.
8. The right to adequate benifits, including employer paid health insurance for ourselves and out families and a solvent portable retirement system with early retirement incentives.
9. The right to sufficent resources to provide quality public services and a fair progressive tax base with which to fund these services.
10. The right to jobs with justice and of respect for state workers' diversity and dignity of the individual worker.
